"The art of moving since 2012"

Tips and Faq

  • Don’t forget to let your neighbours know that you will be moving. During the removals process, we will need easy access to your home, which may mean that your neighbours will need to make alternate arrangements with their vehicles. So a little advanced warning is always appreciated.
  • Make sure that all your white goods i.e, fridge, freezer, stove, are unplugged and defrosted before the removals team arrive.
  • Before your move day arrives make sure that you have all your post redirected to your new address. You will need to notify any companies dealing with your utilities, broadband etc. of your change of address.
  • Unless otherwise discussed with your removals company, all items that need to be dismantled should be dismantled before we arrive.
  • Whether you are doing the packing yourself or not, it is always a good idea to pack an overnight bag in advance. Moving day is always tiring and for most people they don’t get everything unpacked the first night, so pack a bag or box with everything you would need to survive your first night in your new home, such as toilet paper, toiletries, towels, linen and a change of clothes.
  • As well as an overnight bag we recommend keeping all important documents, passports, birth certificates, lease agreements etc with you. Leaving items like this to be packed with your other goods makes it difficult to find them at short notice. So we recommend you hold on to them during your move.

Self pack guidelines

  • If you have any items that you would like to pack yourselves or that you would like to move yourselves, make sure to clearly label those items and inform our team.
  • Make sure you have a generous supply of packaging tape, scissors, markers and labels.
  • All items should be boxed.
  • All boxed items should be taped closed
  • We request that you only use a limited number of carry bags
  • All items that need to be dismantled, must be dismantled and flat-packed before the team arrives, unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • All drawers must be emptied.
  • Any furniture / items to be left behind must be labelled accordingly.
  • Professional removal boxes to be used only, i.e. no fruit /crisp boxes.
  • Please note that we do not remove toilet brushes & holders or nappy disposal bins.

Moving out

  • Before our team leaves, it is your responsibility to make sure that your home is completely cleared and no items have been left behind.
  • Please ensure that all parking bay suspensions have been arranged beforehand.

  • The last step in your removals process is the unpacking. We know that this can be quite a daunting task so we offer an unpacking service as well to help you get settled in to your new home.
  • We do offer a box collection if your home falls within our collection area, but please note that we do not remove packing paper.
